When opening a site in Firefox, the URL window will on its right, display a badly drawn icon of a book. Click on that and the web content is transformed into a more readable (and printable) layout. In fact it "strips away clutter like buttons, ads and background images, and changes the page's text size, contrast and layout for better readability". Instead of reading you can activate the Narrate function and the content will be read to you. Even works for Afrikaans. Some sites do not facilitate the normal Reader View and to get round that, you can add a Firefox Add-on to force Reader View.Once in Reader View, copy and paste of the content is allowed, even if disabled on the original site.
