'n Tendernes oopgekrap?

Is this not being obstructive? I ask this, because under certain circumstances not assisting SARS, is considered obstructive behaviour, with consequences.

Pravin Gordhan: Why this far and suddenly no further?

In a statement on Wednesday, Gordhan said he had taken legal advice and had no obligation to present himself to the Hawks. He said he should be left to do his job in a difficult economic environment.

While the unit is waiting on the docket, it says it will analyse the evidence before deciding on prosecution.

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it will analyse the Hawks’ evidence on the controversial South African Revenue Service (Sars) unit before deciding on prosecution.
Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and three former Sars officials have been identified as suspects in an investigation into the nature and conduct of a now defunct Sars unit.
The four were summoned to the Hawks’ offices last Thursday for a warning statement, however, the minister chose not to present himself, saying he was under no obligation to do so.

But my concern is that Pravin Gordhan is part of the cancer that has diseased the ANC and, by extension, public affairs in South Africa. Unlike Madonsela who stood alone under a sustained ANC attack for years through threats and insults (where was Gordhan, the white knight then?), he is not innocent, or alone. He is, and has always been, a player.
