Trump Questions Possible Ties Between Clinton Campaign, RussiaKremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview on March 12 that individuals from the Clinton campaign met with the Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak during the 2016 elections. ... I am beginning to wonder whether the Russians did not hedge their bets, sticking out feelers in both directions?

I can't even understand why it is such a big deal.
1. Politicians colluded with politicians of other countries in order to boost their own careers ever since the emergence of the nation state. There need not necessarily be anything illegal about that.
2. I'm pretty sure that if the Russians can interfere with the US elections to their own advantage, they will do so, without waiting for an invitation.
3. Anyway, why would either Trump or Clinton encourage the Russians to attack the other through the internet, when that is clearly a high risk thing to do, and can be better done from within the US itself anyway?
The whole thing is just smoke and mirrors, and will die an unseemly death quite soon.
