So what's the point? These countries do not subscribe to the notion of religious freedom. I'm sure most of them would readily admit that.
(Neither do Western countries subscribe to religious freedom unreservedly. What is meant with religious freedom is that you are free to believe and practise whatever you want to, as long as this does not lead to consequences adverse to a secular state based on WASP morality. This is greatly and universally misunderstood, and a cause of much stupidity).

Well, the thing is that they are not guided by views on religious freedom, which they don't acknowledge, so there is no sense in telling them to do so. If you want them to stop killing Christians, it is much more to the point to tell them that you'll give them a smack if they don't stop.

If you want them to stop killing Christians, it is much more to the point to tell them that you'll give them a smack if they don't stop. I suspect that the focus on Christian communities is to increase Christian immigration into the US. On rereading the article I also noted that the focus is not necessarily Christians eg
