Media not believing their own stories

I am wondering what went through Trump's mind when he tweeted about the wire tapping. This was in the early hours of Saturday and it almost sounds as if he had a Damascus moment. I find it hard to believe that it is entirely based on Mark Levin's research.

It seems that none of his staff was consulted and the tweets came after a fall-out with Spicer and Bannon.

By and large (unintended or not), I think it has given him a breathing space. It may well be that he has hit a jackpot of sorts as I consider it extremely likely that he was under surveillance. This may also be a good way of checking the leaks plaguing him.
