The prime concern for me is: What do they taste like?
That answered, I'm wondering - what is so bad about having them here? We have no indigenous freshwater crayfish in South Africa as far as I know, so which species are threatened by the Red Swamp Crayfish? Mind you, if there are indeed some microscopic, foul-tasting, inedible creatures swimming around that will be gobbled up by the RSC, I'd be inclined to say - good riddance.

For once I don't have an opinion. Definitely outside my field of expertise. Your unorthodox suggestions seem quite persuasive though.
