Consulted some geeks. It works.
In any event, there is a PayPal quarantee.

Thinking about sailing around the world one day, and being pissed off with municipal rates in general, generating cheap energy of my own is a bit of a hobbyhorse of mine as well. At any rate, for what I'm paying I worked out that with current technology, I can become more or less independent with an initial layout costing about 2 years worth of municipal rates. That is, I pay about R6000 a month, and for about R150000 I can set up something that will enable me to just about do my own thing. The one problem with this is that it is not something anyone can do - you'd need to have a fairly sophisticated knowledge of the system you've built. You'd need to maintain it yourself, and of course there will also be an associated maintenance cost.
